Global creative marketing campaign for working professionals by Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Urgent Vacation Care Centre.

Launched in January 2013, Hilton Urgent Vacation Care Centre is Hilton global marketing campaign on vacations for workaholics around the globe. In partnership with creative agency Onion Labs, the campaign is aimed and targeted to working professionals who have difficulty switching off works.

Hilton Hotels and Resorts create a virtual lab where people can diagnose their vacation needs and give customised prescriptions of which Hilton Hotel to visit. Dubbed as Vacationitis, the virtual labs categorised the needs of holidays into 14 categories of genres :

  • Acute Alkaline Complex
    The sudden, desperate need to recharge one’s batteries
  • Acute Calcelitis
    People inflicted have trouble finding quality time to spend with loved ones
  • Commuteritis
    Suffering from an excessive number of hours spent commuting to work or between meetings
  • Cordless Infatuitis
    The strong desire to unplug from the world
  • Cubiclophobia
    The fear of cublcles
  • Interpersonal Drone Disorder
    Making it through the work day in a zombie like manner
  • Eye on the Pie Disorder
    Too much exposure to charts/graphs, causing someone to see charts/graphs in their daily routine; the inability to function without the help of visual aids
  • Amnestic Paper Jam Disorder
    Having to fix a paper jam so often that one forgets all other detials in life
  • Yellow Post-It Fever
    When one writes too many sticky reminders, consequently contracting Yellow No. 5 poisoning
  • Replyallgia
    The result of a flood of “reply all” email
  • Acute Retinal Monitoritis
    Poisoning from staring at your computer screen for too long
  • SOB Lunch
    Same Old Boring Lunch
  • Loner Toner Disorder
    Someone with the ability to replace toner in a printer – such a specific skill that once others knows he or she can do it, no one else will learn how

Hilton Urgent Vacation Care Centre also come with a Key Leisure Findings section that contain studies of working class’s vacations desperation measured by people in different countries.
