Launched in January 23, 2013, The Scream from Norway is Visitnorway’s (online) tourism destination marketing to celebrate the anniversary of the famous Norwegian artist Edward Munch who painted the world renowned scream painting.

With January 23 as marks of the opening of the official Munch year in Norway, 150 years after the birth of the painter, Visitnorway invite people from all over the world to share and join the celebration by creating the longest scream in the world.

As part of the celebration, a short film has been produced, to show the modern day scream experiences in Norway with positive experiences in life that make people scream. By inviting people all over the world and share their scream, Visitnorway would like to create the longest scream film by added the submitted scream to the original film. As rewards, Visitnorway will pick a true scream experience in Norway each week and win a dream trip to Norway.
