“Real People, Real Stories”, video destination marketing campaign of Larnaka, Cyprus.

Launched by Larnaka Tourism Board in January 17, 2013, “Real People, Real Stories” is video marketing campaign of Larnaka as tourism destination in Cyprus. The video ad is filmed and edited by Michalis Kalopedis and produced by Zedern Media. The soundtrack of the ad campaign is by Andreas Trachonitis (Eleven63).

Larnaka, also known as Larnaca, is the third largest city in the southern coast of Cyprus. The city of Larnaca is well known for its picturesque seafront, which includes rows of palm trees, and the island’s second largest commercial port and important tourist resort.

Cyprus Tourism Organisation itself is planned to begin 2013 with the lainch of spring advertising campaign. The tourism marketing campaign will be rolled out accross both TV, radio as well as gracing the side of taxis nationwide. Created following the success of 2012’s campaign, the 2013 Cyprus ad campaign approach will be able to be seen and heard across the country’s key cities.

The radio campaign will be aired on selected commercial stations in two installments – the first from March until April covering the regions of London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Newcastle, and the second in November for the London region only. Key radio stations will include; Capital FM, Metro Radio, Magic, Gold and LBC.

The Cyprus Tourism Organisation’s campaign features the tagline “Cyprus in Your Heart”, showcasing the island’s diversity – from ancient cities to rural havens, beaches to mountains, gourmet delicacies to holistic retreats – an offering that continues to draw British visitors year-on-year.
