Singapore is one of the Asian trio who offers rare success stories in containing local transmission using rigorous testing and isolation. As the world struggles with surging COVID-19 cases, Singapore, along with Vietnam and Taiwan, has succeeded in limiting local transmission.

Singapore is one standout place in Asia that is only keeping its coronavirus counts down as of late – it also announced a slew of new offerings for locals and some international visitors, paving the way for a potential return to travel that still prioritises safety. Singapore’s tourism industry has been working hard to reimagine products and experiences.

How did they rising up to the challenge through the pandemic? Singapore’s Faces of Tourism video series tell us the stories behind.

Released for the first time on July 21, 2020, Faces of Tourism tell us stories about diffrent faces of tourism stakeholders and how they have been working hard, rethinking, redefining, and rising up to the challenge through the pandemic.

The first episode of Faces of Tourism’s video, entitled “Singapore’s Retail Heroes”, features homegrown retail brands that innovated and adapted over the last few months, during COVID-19 pandemic. The video featuring Reckless Ericka, Books Actually, Pek Sin Choon, and Sir Aromatics. It show us how these retail heroes redefining their businesses and rising up to the challenge through the pandemic to bring a piece of Singapore.
