Announced on January 22, 2021, “Visit Us Later” is Quebec City’s winter campaign that aimed the beauty, romance, and wonder of the province’s capital for people to explore from the comfort of their own homes as the pandemic rages on.
As part of the marketing campaign, several ‘Visit Us Later’ videos has been launched to promote Quebec City as the ultimate winter destination. The Québec City region wants to emphasize that great vacations are still possible even though international travel is not currently an option. This is the perfect opportunity to appreciate the beauty of Quebec City and enjoy winter – safely.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, The New York Times has urged its readers to travel virtually to every beautiful destination. Therefore, Quebec City Tourism would like to tell the travelers to take this advice and experience all Quebec City has to offer from the comfort of home.
Famous Quebec City tourism events will be available to stream all winter. Virtual events and exhibitions include the Tobbogan festival, concerts, and Quebec City’s renowned Winter Carnival are accessible for free.
Quebec City will also stream a bird’s-eye view of the city in real-time from the top of the Observatoire de la Capitale, 221 metres in the virtual air.
At-home tourists can also check out the only ice hotel in North America, the Hôtel de Glace, which offers the public a “breathtaking winter experience” with its grand hall, chapel, 21 themed rooms, ice bar, and slide.
