Digital Tourism Campaign by VisitAberdeenshire, “Our Aberdeen is Your Aberdeen”

Digital campaign to promote the Granite City to potential visitors from the rest of Scotland and north of England.

Launched on February 16, 2021, “Our Aberdeen is Your Aberdeen” is a new tourism campaign that aimed to encourage people to visit the north-east region after coronavirus restrictions are relaxed.

The “Our Aberdeen is Your Aberdeen” digital tourism campaign is launched by VisitAberdeenshire, a north-east tourism body, and designed to promote the city to potential visitors from other places in Scotland and from the north of England, when travel is permitted once more.

As the local tourism industry sets its sights on taking full advantage of the post-Covid era, VisitAberdeenshire has recruited residents to be the face of the campaign. A range of landmarks also have been selected to show the diversity of attractions available for visitors, such as Aberdeen Art Gallery to the beach and Kirkhill Forest.

Travel is currently not permitted under lockdown, and is also not permitted under levels three and four of the Scottish Government’s strategic framework where residents are only permitted to travel within their local authority area except for essential reasons such as school or work. When the UK opens up again for people to travel, the city of Aberdeen should be on all the lists as a great place for a city break.
