Announced by Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky in a livestream addressed to hosts on February 18, 2021, “Made possible by Hosts” is the first major campaign in 2021 with hosts first target and aimed to to expand the short-term rental hosts lineup.
As part of the global campaign, Airbnb has already made several videos, which feature guest photographers staying in Airbnb’s short-term rentals around the world with old songs sung by modern-day singers. The video ads soundtrack includes “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac, and “Sweet Child ‘O Mine,” by Guns ‘N Roses.
According to Airbnb, the digital ads campaign will run in most every country on Google’s YouTube and other social media. The TV commercial will air in the United Staes, France, the UK, Canada and Australia starting February 22, 2021. The campaign is also expected 300 million people to view the videos ads.
2021 is the time where peoples are shifting from mass travel to meaningful travel. A time where who people travel with and what they do there will be more important than the destination.
