#myINcrowd, Social Media Marketing Campaign of Tourism Indiana

National campaign to selebrate Indiana's greatest natural resource, the people.

Debuted on March 4, 2021, #myINcrowd is a social media campaign that encourages all Indiana residents and former residents to share their pride for their state and fellow Hoosiers.

The #myINcrowd campaign is launched by Indiana Destination Development Corp. and aimed to highlight Indiana residents who are doing “remarkable things” in the eyes of the IDDC. The effort coincides with the NCAA men’s basketball tournament which is being held entirely in Indiana this year.

Relying on Indiana native and TV personality David Letterman to get the word out, IDDC also asked ESPN anchor Sage Steele to also be a spokesperson of the campaign. Steele started her broadcast career in South Bend. She also worked in Indianapolis for a while.

According to IDDC, March is the perfect time for Hoosiers to showcase why Indiana is an ideal place to live, work, study, and play. The #myINcrowd campaign also tells compelling personal stories of not-so-famous Hoosiers who are making a difference in their industries and communities.

As the eyes of the entire country are on Indiana during the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, several video adverts has been produced to encourage Hoosiers in telling stories.
