Debuted for the first time on October 2020, Addo is local campaign that aimed to encourage people to stay local following the latest change to the coronavirus lockdown measures.
As the latest Coronavirus restrictions ask people in Wales to stay local, the Addo campaign is relaunch asking the people of Wales to make a promise ‘to care for each other, for our land and for our communities’.
The government was changing ‘stay at home’ to ‘stay local’ – and people should stick to within five miles of home, although there will be more flexibility in rural areas.
Therefore, in response to the new measures the Addo campaign is asking the people of Wales to make a promise as they start exploring their local communities once again to care for each other, for our land and for our communities.
The campaign will initially be rolled out within Wales and will include a mix of digital, PR and out of home advertising. The second phase will include TV, radio and will be extended to target visitors in key markets once restrictions are lifted further.
Addo itself means ‘to promise’. For peole who want to give their promise, the virtual pledge can be signed on visitwales.com/promise.
