Debuted on March 18, 2021, ‘Indonesia is Waiting’ is the latest iteration of ‘Wonderful Indonesia’ brand campaign of Tourism Indonesia that aimed to inspire domestic tourists and travellers across the country.
With the upcoming Ramadan season and long holiday of Eid al-Fitr (also called the “Festival of Breaking the Fast”), the marketing campaign is planned to run in digital and social media channel under the tagline ‘Di Indonesia Aja’ (‘See You in Indonesia’) and hashtag #DiIndonesiaAja – the official tagline and hastag that has been running since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
As part of the campaign, an video film also has been created by Tourism Indonesia. The video campaign itself offer a unique and eye cacthing look visual technique that aimed to give the impression that the people, animals and prominent natural wonders of the nations are frozen in time as they wait for visitors to return. It’s also features popular tourist destinations such as Bali, Banyuwangi, Yogyakarta (Jogja) and Bintan.
The tourism campaign is the first work by M&C Saatchi Indonesia for the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy after winning the account in September 2020.
According M&C Saatchi Indonesia, despite of the pandemic, it’s important to keep the #WonderfulIndonesia brand alive in the minds of people and carefully encourage the domestic travellers to purseu travel and explore the wonders of their own country, when the time is right. It is also important to showcase the lengths to which the hospitality industry was going to make travel save for people in post-COVID era.
