Good to Go, Domestic Advertising Campaign of Queensland Tourism

Domestic tourism campaign to attract tourists from Sydney and Melbourne as Queensland is good to go.

Debuted on March 21, 2021, ‘Good to Go’ is the new domestic advertising campaign of Queensland that aimed to lure tourists back to the Sunshine State of Australia.

After keeping millions of Australians locked out for most of the past 12 months, an “aggressive” plan to attract tourists from Sydney and Melbourne over winter has been revealed by the Premier of Queensland on March 10, 2021.

Announced by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, the tourism campaign plays off the state’s success at managing the COVID-19 pandemic and its “gold standard health practices”.

Straight to the issue of COVID safety dan the confidence in travel bookings, the Good to Go campaign would like to send the message that ‘Queensland is fantastic, if you have any worries, don’t worry because Queensland is good to go’.

Queensland removed all interstate border restrictions on February 27, after it was closed to travellers Melbourne and Sydney for much of 2020.

The Sunshine State’s tourism industry has been bleeding tens of millions of dollars every day, with state and international borders locked down for most of the past 12 months.

Queensland Treasury modelling has revealed another 50,000 Queenslanders will lose their jobs at the end of the month when the federal government’s JobKeeper wage subsidy wraps up.
