Highlight the economic importance and value of tourism to local economies across England, this year, English Tourism Week will be held from May 25-31, 2021.
English Tourism Week is an annual celebration of the tourism industry. It’s a week that dedicated to showcasing England’s tourism. English Tourism Week highlights the importance, value and vast contribution of the sector makes to the UK economy to stakeholders including, government, MPs and ministers.
English Tourism Week 2021 will be sharing the slogan “Here for Tourism”. Along rith the hashtag #EnglishTourismWeek21, the annual event celebrating England’s diverse, exciting and vibrant sector, and showcasing the quality, range and value of English tourism to stakeholders.
Tourism is one of England’s largest and most valuable industries, supporting hundreds of thousands of businesses. Making up 80% of the UK’s visitor economy, VisitEngland and local destinations are asking MPs, local authorities, the UK Government and other stakeholders to shine the spotlight on the importance of tourism to the local, regional and national economy and pledge their support to the sector’s recovery.
VisitEngland is also asking MPs to that they are “Here for Tourism” by visit a tourist destination or attraction betwen May 22 – 31, 2021, and share their trip using the hashtags #EnglishTourismWeek21 and tag @VisitEnglandBiz.
As part of the campaign of English Tourism Week 2021, VisitEngland provide downloadable toolkit that includes a copy of the briefing document, ETW logo and Here for Tourism industry assets to use across your social channels to share the message.
