Vrbo, an Expedia Group vacation rental brand, has launched a new host recruitment advertising campaign that aimed to attract new hosts to its platform.
With surging demand for short-term rentals expected as a full travel recovery eventually gets under way, Vrbo, as platforms, need to recruit new hosts and onboard listings to meet expected demand.
On the end of March 2021, Vrbo has launched Fast Start, a new program that increases the visibility of new properties in the first 90 days and displays a review score based on reviews from other travel sites. The program has now launched in the United States and will roll out globally in the coming months.
Following the success of Fast Start, Vrbo now encourage homeowners and property manager to list their properties and become host on their platform through its new online advertising campaign that explicitly tell hosts what it can do that giant Airbnb can’t.
According to Vrbo, there is no doubt that vacation rentals are leading the travel rebound and 2021 has been the best start to a year in the US. Vrbo want professional hosts to be able to join with the platform quickly and seamlessly.
Vrbo also expect that over time when urban centers reopen, when international travel comes back, there’s naturally going to be an influx of supply in the markets because there will be demand for it.
