"Experience local. Explore rural country!", new promotional campaign of rural Croatia.

Unveiled on May 5, 2021, “Experience local. Explore rural country!” is the Croatia’s new promotional tourism campaign that focused on rural areas that offer peace, serenity, and safety.

The “Experience local. Explore rural country!” tourism campaign is launched by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism and Sports in sollaboration with the Croatian National Tourist Board. The campaign is aimed to encourage rural tourism and inviting travellers to experience the beauty and serenity of the country. It’s also Croatia first campaign of rural tourism.

COVID-19 pandemic has made thousands of travellers anxious and nervous about visiting crowded places which are full of tourists. As result, this year, people are beginning to search for quieter and more peaceful destinations for their summer holidays.

According to the Croatian Ministry of Tourism and Sports, rural tourism is a product that meet all needs. The “Experience local. Explore rural country!” tourism campaign will feature twelve thematic videos which will show tourists what they can experience in Croatia’s rural areas. Essentially, Croatia also seeks to use it to promote its natural and cultural heritage as well as the hospitality of its locals.

Under the hashtags #RuralnaHrvatska and #DoživiDomaće, the “Experience local. Explore rural country!” is planned to run via online and offline communication channels, as well as Croatia’s social networks.
