Debuted on May 6, 2021, “You Make Us Fly” is the new brand TV advertising campaign of British Airways that putting its own staff, from pilots, cabin crew, to ground staff, at the heart of its marketing and communications.
The TV advertising campaign is British Airways’ first brand campaign since its centenary in 2019, “A Love Letter to Britain”. The campaign itself is an attempt to reassure passengers about the airline’s safety and customer service, as well as a motivational message to its own staff.
Featured staff working at the carrier making their way back to work, the “You Make Us Fly” campaign is aimed to reflect the “palpable sense of impatience and excitement at returning to the skies.”
As the change of the leadership, the campaign is also want to rebuild British Airways’ brand as a proud British flag carrier and to reassure travellers about safety and customer service. With its employees at the heart of marketing and communications post-pandemic, British Airways’ would like to to show how motivated it is to start flying again and look after passengers.
The ban on foreign holidays is expected to be lifted for people in England from May 17, 2021. As the skies reopen for British holidaymakers, albeit to a limited set of destinations, Britain’s best-known airline is ready to try and grab its share of this business.
